Apple’s Successful March through History

I just returned from Miami and in technology news, the Cupertino, California based Apple corporation of iPhone and iPod fame had great success in the desktop market and in 1989 the technology giant moved into the laptop world, with their initial experiment known as the Macintosh Portable. Following that model came the Powerbook in 1991, which had a design layout very similiar to today’s modern laptops. Just hard to repair.
In that same year, Apple also introduced it’s Seven computer operating system, which implimented color into it’s GUI. Apple began to foray into different consumer product categories with everything from digital cameras, to television video consoles, to PDAs but did not have the same success with these as they did with personal computers. While Apple continued to boast lower profits and sliding stock prices, it’s nearest competitor which exists and still is, to this day, Microsoft, was continuing to gain market share with Windows, it’s own Operating system and personal computers at a price point lower than Apple’s equivalents. For more details take a look at the iPhone Repair Miami weblog. Tips on repair of cracked screen, 3g, broken iPhone and other repair related tips. This firm services Miamai and also Boca Raton, Pembroke Pines, Tampa, Orlando plus South Florida generally. There you can find safety, technology and other California news. In 1998, the companies whom had clashed horns in the consumer market now clashes horns in court, as Apple sued Microsoft for using a GUI that was similar to the one used on Apple’s Lisa. The battle continued for four years, till 1994, when the case was thrown out.

Dining Reservation Software Helps You Keep Track Of Your Customers

One of the most important aspects of setting successful dining reservations is keeping track of your newer customers and loyal patrons. The small details of every event can make or break a client’s evening, so it’s important for you and your staff to know as many details regarding their preferences for the function. Knowing these sometimes minute details will like increase customer satisfaction because your clients will realize how much you genuinely care about their business. Few things are more important than good business and customer satisfaction in this type of economy, so you should take every measure you can to ensure that you’re giving your customer the service possible. The customer history database in dining reservation software is the perfect way to take care of the needs of all your customers without investing a huge amount of time and energy.

Perhaps the most beneficial way of staying updated on customer status is compiling contact information for those who return to your establishment on a regular basis. Every successful caterer and restaurateur tends to have at least a handful of loyal customers, and it’s important for you to know who they are and how they can be contacted. The customer history program in dining reservation software lets you keep a record of your customer contact information for quick and easy viewing.

Another important aspect of keeping track of a customer history report is the fact that you can record significant details about your client that will help you and your staff provide better service. For instance, if you entertain a loyal customer who is severely allergic to peanuts, you’ll be aware of that well before you begin cooking whatever he or she orders for dinner. Or perhaps you have a frequent customer who enjoys sitting at a certain table in your restaurant every time he comes for dinner with friends. You’ll be able to easily remember that small but significant detail each and every time your client comes in to your restaurant.

The customer history database in dining reservation software is also great to keep track of frequent no shows and cancellations. Virtually every caterer or restaurateur has played host to customers who often don’t arrive at their reservation time, arrive late, or cancel shortly before the time they and their guests are scheduled to arrive. If this has been or is becoming a problem for your establishment, you can record these details with the customer history program on dining reservation software. That way, you can be prepared to entertain other guests in the event that these customers do not show up for their reservations once again.
For those customers who like to set up their special dates and reservations far in advance, you can keep special notes about the event they’re planning. It isn’t uncommon for those celebrating weddings, anniversaries, graduations, and other special occasions to require more specific details for their evening out. Some of the details may include special seating arrangements and instructions for appetizers, the main dish, and desserts.
